Participation of the Ukrainian higher education in the Bologna process aimed at its development and preservation of the best domestic traditions. The credit-modular technology of organization of the educational process is one of the most modern technologies, which allows to improve the quality of education in the information society, educational each student mobility (possibility of learning in different educational institutions), acquiring of the power of self-realization and competitiveness on the labour market. The teaching staff of the Department actively works on new educational technologies in the educational process in accordance with the democratic values of modern scientific-technical achievements of the Bologna ideas.
The main forms of study are lectures, practical and laboratory works, course projects and activities. The final stage - writing theses, projects on educational-qualifying level "Specialist", certification of works on the educational-qualifying level "Master". One of the main principles of credit-modular technology is moving the center of the educational process for independent work of students and to introduce the principles of continuous stimulation of self-mastery of the students of educational material. Therefore, a special emphasis in teaching is paid to organization of independent work of students. Assigned to the Department of academic disciplines are fundamental for the basic and professional training of specialists of the communication sphere, provide General professional direction of the learning process of students.
To develop themselves are carried separate themes developed by the teaching staff of the Department in textbooks, monographs and textbooks. Material in all editions of authors under the leadership of C. K. Steklov, L. N. Berkman built systematically, does the combination of new methods of calculation of the construction of telecommunications networks, improvement of methods of forecasting the development of tools and networks that are based on the latest information and telecommunication technologies. The program of study is aimed at increasing the level of mastering of a teaching material, imparting skills to analyze, the development of thinking and creative abilities, necessary for formation of high level of the future specialist.
