Injury to the production in Ukraine

The Department of labour protection apparatus FPU using the information of trade Union organizations and official government sources report: "Accidents at work in Ukraine: a national profile for 2009-2013".

In the report it is noted that the levels of industrial injuries and occupational diseases are the main indicators of the condition of labor in a particular area of economic activity, region and generally in the state. Its present position in the state unions is estimated as critical. General characteristics of occupational injuries during these years shows that in Ukraine, the average annual production was recorded 12,7 thousand accidents that injured 13.0 thousand workers.

Almost every tenth accident was fatal, and the proportion of such cases in the total number of accidents in production during these years grew steadily: from 9.0% (2009) to 11.0% (2013). Similarly increased and the proportion of victims in the total number of casualty: from 9.0% (2009) to 11.2% (2013).

On average annually in Ukraine were registered 192 group of accidents, including 61 deaths; in group accidents suffered 492 employees, almost one-fifth of them were killed.
These indicators reveal very dangerous for Ukraine trend which, if maintained, it can become a country where production is recorded mainly accidents with a fatal outcome, which should be prevented.

Therefore, at the Department of life Safety and labour protection, having carefully reviewed this document, a meeting was held with the teachers of the Department in which the proposed studies in the disciplines of "safety", "safety" and "safety in industry" more attention be paid to familiarize students with the content of this report. To give more examples of accidents that occur when the requirements of labor protection.
